Context : 
Hidden roses is a school project created with Unreal Engine 4 in 1 month.

Genre :

Horror / Ambiance game

Pitch : 

Alice is stuck in a strange castle, and will need to find a way out of this death trap layed out by the queen of hearts.

​

My work for Hidden Roses

My role :

For Hidden Roses, i was the game and level designer, in charge of creating the game level and the key features and mechanics.

​

Level Design : 

I was the only level designer on this project, so I was in charge of  level building, the pacing of the game, blocking and puzzles. As Hidden roses is an horror game, the main focus was to get the player's attention focused on puzzles while slow pressure is building up.

Key features :

I was also the only game designer on this project. I was tasked of creating the key mechanics wich are : 
Some items or ennemies moove when you stop looking at them, and the ceiling is slowly mooving down through the level.

​

These focused most of my work on trying to get the rythm and ambiance stable through the game, and creating puzzles under these constraints.

​

Additional work :

I was also in charge of the lighting.
