A dance festival where dancers from all over the galaxy compete to show who's got the best rhythm.
Fight with your friends following the beat and become the best dancer of the galaxy!

My work for BassAndTrouble

My role :

For BassAndTrouble, I was one of the game designers, and the level designer, in charge of creating the main mechanics of the game and the level design.

​

Game Design : 

I was in charge of creating the main mechanics, and their documentation. This game works around 3 principles : movement, shooting and rhythm. My main focus was to make the movement feel good, the shooting rewarding and the rhythm feel natural. 

We wanted to create a fast-paced pvp couch game, built on rhythm. That's why it needed to be accessible, and instantly fun.

I was also in charge of tweaking and balancing the game in Unity, depending on the feedback we received when we playtested.

​

Level Design : 

I was in charge of  level building, the pacing of the game and the global experience. Some mechanics, as the shooting patterns that vary depending on which character a player has, and what combo he is at, needed to fit into the desired experience of this game. The level building was based on these mechanics.

Key features :

I was also working on some other mechanics, such as :
-  After death gameplay

-  Level design ingredients

-  Coop events 

Which were not implemented on time in the game.

​

Additional work :

I also worked in pair with two composer to create the music of the game in accordance with the experience we wanted to have.
